Description
Dear Delphes 3 Team,
we have generated 10k Drell-Yan events, with a tau-lepton pair in the final state, by means of the interface MadGraph+Pythia8+Delphes3, for a LHC center-of-mass energy of 14 TeV, setting the default cards in eache case. We do not understand the distribution of the hadronic-tau invariant mass obtained, since the range of this variable goes from 0 GeV to very large mass values, up to 100 GeV or even larger, and we would expect that this invariant mass peaks for values around 1.777 GeV, with most of the events below this mass value. Do you know why we are obtaining so large hadronic-tau invariant mass values? What are the reconstruction method for these hadronic-tau leptons? Please find attached a plot with an example of this hadronic-tau invariant mass distribution done with MadAnalysis 5. Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards,
Ernesto Arganda, Nicolás Mileo and Alejandro Szynkman.
