Hi, I would like to get more information regarding the delphes_card_ATLAS_PileUp.tcl card. Do you know who is the main author and if there were any validation studies done for ATLAS? Thanks!

Hi Jessica,
we (delphes collaboration) are the authors of that card. The validation of the ATLAS card (delphes_card_ATLAS.tcl) has been validated in the Delphes paper: http://arxiv.org/abs/1307.6346. The card you mention is simply an extension of the original ATLAS card with pile-up.
Simple consistency checks have been done to validate pile-up subtraction on jets (jet energy scale and resolution).
May I ask for which study you are considering using that card? Also are you part the ATLAS collaboration?
