Description
Hi,
I have a question for the momentum direction identification.
I have simulated dileptonic top events via the latest version of MadGraph using the default of the delphes card for ATLAS. Just for curiosity, I compared energy and momentum direction of leptons between parton and delphes level events. Surprisingly, even for leptons (i.e., electron and muon only), the momentum direction is quite different from the associated parton momentum direction. About 10% of events differ even by ~20 degrees. Well.. as far as I know, even for jets, the momentum direction is almost perfect although energy is poorly measured. Is it sort of a bug, or did I do something wrong with simulation?
Many thanks in advance.
Doojin
PS. The distributions in the angle difference between parton and delphes events are attached for electrons and muons.
