Description

Dear Expert,

I am trying to produce gamma gamma processes ( p p > a a / h) as the dominant background of the production of SM Higgs (ggF) in the diphoton final states ( p p > h, h > a a) in the LHC.

The issue is that the Missing transverse energy for the background is to low, and it allows to reject more than 50% of the background, which is not correct because gamma gamma background and the SM Higgs (ggh) decaying to diphoton are sharing the same phase space.

I attached here a comparison between the distribution that I produced using MG5+pythia8+Delphes3 with the ATLAS one.

Could you please advice me on a way to correct the missing energy?

I am using delphes 3.4.2 with the nominal delphes_card_ATLAS_pileup.

Thank you in advance
