Running Delphes over .hep file

Hello Dear Experts,
I have been trying to run Delphes over a .hep file however I am getting an error message reading during the process "ERROR: tau's daughter index is greater than the ParticleInputArray size".
The way I am running it is "./DelphesSTDHEP cards/delphes_card_CMS.tcl 250K.root 250K_events_HERWIG6_0.hep"
I would appreciate your help regarding this issue. I also had another .hep file but I did not get any issue at all as above.
