Description
Dear Delphes team,
Is there a way to add pile up to SUSY events? If I understand well, the MinBias.pileup that comes with Delphes is used to mix pile up events for SM particles. However, I would like to add pile up to my SUSY events. Now, using this MinBias file on my signal file, I end up with the same number of events I started with.
Thanks for the help.
Best,
Amin

Hi,
it should not matter whether you add pileup to SM particles or BSM. The principle is the same and low pT particles corresponding to some number of minbias interactions are superimposed with the hard scattering. As a result, you indeed do not expect the total number of events to change after you add pileup.
