ttbar production without decay

These files are no longer relevant... See the Software.TopBSM model for the implementation of all these 'models'

pp>tt~ (QCD only)

These are files for the Standard Model ttbar production, for QCD production only.

pp>zprime>tt~ signal production (no interference with SM Z>ttbar)
pp>zprime/Z/A>tt~ signal +QED background production (with interference)
QCD pp>tt~ + pp>h>tt~, including interference effects
pp>spin-2>tt~ signal production (summed tower of KK states)

Some selected plots (parton-level)

  • (pseudo-)scalar contribution invariant mass spectrum ttbar: ttbar_spin-0.png It is assumed that the (Pseudo-)scalar decays only to top quarks in the calculation of its width.
  • zprime_run_3_plots.ps: zprime contribution invariant mass spectrum ttbar
  • spin_2.ps: Graviton KK tower contribution invariant mass spectrum ttbar

QCD ttbar production

These are events for the Standard Model ttbar production, for QCD production only. banner

QED ttbar production

These are events for the Standard Model ttbar production, for QED production only. banner

Zprime

These are events for pp -> Z/gamma/Zprime -> ttbar banner. The Zprime, of mass 1.5 TeV, couples to quarks with the same strength as the SM Z boson. It does not couple to leptons (only relevant for the decay width). Note that there is interference between the Z and the Zprime.

Pseudo-scalar

These are events for the ttbar production, including a s-channel pseudo-scalar exchange banner. The pseudo-scalar, of mass 450 GeV, couples with strength gamma_5*m_f/v to fermions. (m_f is the fermion mass and v is the Higgs field vev). The (top quark) loop induced gluon fusion process is production process for the pseudo-scalar. Note that there is interference between the QCD ttbar background and the pseudo-scalar ttbar production.
