VIRTUAL MACHINE

  1. Download and install VirtualBox from ​https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
  2. Download the virtual disk image from ​http://madgraph.hep.uiuc.edu/Downloads/YETI2016.tgz or ​http://madgraph.hep.uiuc.edu/Downloads/YETI2016.zip
  3. Untar (tar -xzpvf YETI2016.tgz) or unzip the disk image as appropriate
  4. Start VirtualBox, click “New” Name: YETI2016 OS Type: Linux - Ubuntu (64 bit) Memory: 1024 MB (or more) Virtual Hard Disk: Use existing hard disk. Click folder symbol, choose the disk image “YETI2016.vdi” 1.Check the summary, then “Create”
  5. In the “VirtualBox Manager”, select “YETI2016” and click “Start” in the top row.
  6. If needed the password is r1vet
