Description:

The experimental high energy physics group of the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium) invites applications for one position at the post-doctoral level to join its efforts in data analysis and running of the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

The position is dedicated to the analysis of the first CMS physics data at high energy, in synergy with the other members of the CP3 CMS group. The selected candidate is expected to be based at CERN to also contribute to the CMS tracker detector performance activities. Additional information concerning this position can be obtained from Christophe Delaere.

Applicants must have (or expect to receive soon) a Ph.D. in particle physics. The appointment will start in fall 2010 and is initially intended for one year at CERN, with the possibility of future extensions in Belgium depending on the funding opportunities.
